Shea is 11 Months Old
Shea turned 11 months old on the 9th. I can't believe that she is almost a year old already!
At 11 months old, she:
is speed crawling around the house; still eats a TON of anything that you put in front of her; loves to sing; is obsessed with balls (not sure if this is copying brother or simply because she can find them everywhere in the house); says "ball", "dada", "bear", "bonk" and "book" fairly regularly; has become very attached to Mommy (like, tantrums when I leave the room attached); has 4 teeth and has been grinding them as she tries to figure out what is going on in her mouth (ugg); loves to play outside; is trying to make us stop feeding her bottles and move to cups; still takes two naps, but short ones; prays with us at dinner each night;
Here are some shots from our 11 month photo shoot. Wiggly and a little tired, but so cute!
I LOVE THIS ONE!!!
And, here is big brother when he turned 11 months. Lots of finger sucking with these two...

Superhero Day
It was Superhero Day at Lucas's school last week, and Phil was able to find a super cute (clearance!) t-shirt at Old Navy that included a CAPE! Lucas was very excited to wear it, and spent all morning walking in circles while he tried to look at it on his back :) Here are a few of our little superman in action:
I told him to "pose like Superman" and this was what he did?!? Hmmm. Very "super-y".
As we were leaving for school, there was this perfect moment where he was standing staring at the sky with a baby by his side and his thumb in his mouth. I thought, "WHY DON'T I HAVE MY CAMERA! This is what superman did as a little boy!" By the time I got the camera and tried to have him recreate the moment, it was gone, but he was pretty cute anyway!

Shea Quote of the Day
Yes! Shea gets a quote!
At dinner this week, when we have started to pray each night, Shea has clasped her little hands together and said, very clearly, "God." SO CUTE!!! So, as the three of us say "God is great. God is good." and so on, Shea makes a huge smile, clasps her hands, and says "God. God. God."
More quotes to come from my chatterbox, I am sure.

Easter
So, Easter morning was a little crazy around here. We were having HUGE storms in the Metroplex, so our egg hunt had to move inside. This also meant we waited a little too long to decide if we were indeed going to the early service at church, so we rushed out the door before I could get a picture of the family in our Easter best. Booo! We were CUTE :) Enjoy the Easter morning pics instead!
Shea was SOOO into the Easter Eggs. She loved it. She crawled around all morning picking them up and telling us "ball!" "ball!" "BALL!" She had on or another in her hands all day. Even when taking her bottle.
Easter baskets....notice the little handing trying to sneak in there...
Lucas was very excited about the Easter egg hunt. He was determined to find them all...even that one on top of the vacuum that took FOREVER to spot :)
Shea checking that she got everything out of her Easter basket. Then, she would fill it up with eggs and take them out again. We are very into "in" and "out" right now.
PEEPS!!

Perot Museum
Phil took a day off of work last week so we could take the kids to the new Perot Museum or Nature and Science on a (less) busy weekday. Well...it wasn't less busy because there were a million field trips, but the kids had a GREAT time. As did their parents. We bought a membership, so we will definitely be heading back again soon.
I tried to get him to pose with me...he was too excited to go in!
Interactive LED light wall:
Racing the Olympic sprinter. He would have done this a million times if there hadn't been such a long line.
We spent almost two hours in the special section for kids under 5. Here, Shea got to meet a raccoon.
And Lucas played with blocks, attempting to build the Dallas skyline:
Shea could have played with this felt board and the flowers for HOURS. Seriously, she LOVED it. (I may or may not be making her a felt board for her birthday!)
And Lucas LOVED doing these huge dinosaur puzzles. We did all of them. Twice.
This was the look when another kid tried to give him some advice:
More fun in the Children's Section. I didn't get pictures of them digging for dinosaur bones in the sandpit, but that was a big hit, too!
Mr. Independent at the water table. He had his own project going and wasn't interested in playing with any of the other kids. He was the same way at all the other centers, too. My poor little introvert.
He can't wait to go back to see the dinosaurs again!

Misc. End of March
Just a few random photos that don't really fit in a post...
Shea is finally holding her own bottle! Thank you, Jesus! |
Let's go DUKE! Ready for opening weekend of March Madness. |
Excited to take birthday treats to his classmates. |
Shea got this awesome ruffle jumper, and we had to try it on. She's not sure... |
