Bye Bye Thumb

The day after Lucas turned three, Phil and I turned out attention to "Operation Stop the Thumb Sucking". We know this will be a long and tedious operation, but we are attempting to stay strong. (So far, one month later, still not much headway.)  We have told him that the only place he is allowed to suck his thumb now is on his bed in his room. This is fine except that we have to be constantly vigilant everywhere else...and there are tantrums. Oh, the tantrums! Regardless...we soldier on. Here are a couple of sentimental shots I grabbed on his last "legal" morning of thumb sucking. (Definitely one of those...he needs to grow up but please stay my baby moments for this mama!)
