Still Catching Up: Christmas Trip to NC

Ok, ok...almost done with the December posts, I promise...

On Christmas Day afternoon, we packed up and headed out to DFW to fly to Raleigh to visit my parents. It was a great time to fly...no lines, very quiet. Lucas was great on the plane, although I won't be TOO sorry to see him in his own seat after he turns 2. A squirmy 22 month old is much harder to control than a squirmy 12 month old!

Anyway, we had a great Christmas on the 26th celebration at my parents house!  Lucas got a new set of golf clubs (since he destroyed the last one). From that moment on, most of his trip looked like this...

He wanted to be out in the backyard hitting golf balls every second of the day! Even when it was freezing...or dark...or raining. Such a cute little sports man!

We also did other fun things like...

Go to see the Carolina Hurricanes play. It was Lucas' first NHL game, and he loved it (and the chicken fingers). When we told him to yell "Let's Go Canes", he burst out with "Lucas CANDYCANE!!!" Hands down the best moment of the evening.

Play on the swings with Papa. I just love this picture!

Go back to the Children's Museum in Durham. This place is incredible. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the Triangle. Everything is hands on, and there is so much to see and do both indoors and outdoors. I only took a few pics this trip, but you can see lots more from our trip last summer. (And LOOK! It's a picture of me and mom...who knew one existed?!?)

We also went to a Duke game, but I have so many pictures from that (and it's time to go get Lucas from school), it will have to be a post unto itself. Coming soon, I promise!
