Ok, ok...I KNOW. It's FEBRUARY. And this is still a Christmas post. Oh well. You'll just have to deal with it :)
Christmas morning was great fun at the Hlavaty house. Phil and I really enjoyed getting to watch Lucas experience his Santa gifts for the first time. I know it will only get more exciting for the next few years! When Lucas got up, he found his two big presents from Santa:
The first was his tricycle. Now, he had been telling us for WEEKS (since we took him to the store to test drive) that Santa was going to bring him a bike, so we were all ready for the excitement. His Scout dog was all geared up and ready to ride. However, Lucas passed right by that and headed straight for the....
KITCHEN! He was so excited about it...wanted to check out all the food and the doors and noises. He still plays with it just about every day. He especially loves to make us all coffee (thanks, Jessica!).
So, after the excitement of the kitchen wore off, he headed over to check out his bike, try on his helmet, and see what was in his stocking.
Santa brought him crayons, Teddy Grahams, and Goldfish this year. The Goldfish pretty much stole the show. If you know anything about my son, this does not surprise you. For weeks after Christmas, if you asked him what he got from Santa, it was not a bike, not a kitchen, but, first and foremost, GOLDFISH.
After stockings, it was time to color a little with those new crayons (and let mom and dad open their stockings).
Then, Lucas helped us open all the presents, and decided to test out all the good ones.
After presents and play time, we had a great Christmas brunch (in the Bressler family tradition), and ended the morning with some Wii. It was a great, relaxed Christmas morning for all. Thanks, Santa!!!
