Let's Go DUKE!

As promised...an entire post on our trip to Duke :)  Since my dad works for a hotel associated with the university, he can almost always get tickets to Duke basketball games. As a former student, I LOVE it!  Lucas loves basketball so much, and was brainwashed during March Madness last year to refer to all basketball as Duke. I knew he would LOVE watching Duke play up close and personal (like, 6 rows behind the visitors bench). I only hope that we will be able to take him back to Cameron Indoor when he is really old enough to appreciate how awesome it all is!

I wish I had gotten a pic of Lucas' face when we first walked in, but the awe he is showing here is pretty representative of the entire game :)  "Duke right there, Mommy. Dunk! Duke right there!!!!"

It didn't take him long to master the Cameron Crazies' "WOOSH" arms during free throws. Notice how lion has gotten involved. He still wooshes when he sees free throws on tv at home.

On our way out to the car, we took a detour to Wallace Wade football stadium. I just love this shot of my dad telling Lucas all about it.

Lucas and Daddy went down on the field to practice sprinting on the track. He had the best time!
