Our beautiful hotel was right on the Riverwalk, so as soon as we arrived on Sunday and got cleaned up and rested from the drive we headed out for some Mexican food. Not the best choice on food, but we had a great time :)
Here are Shea and I posing for the camera. Check out her adorable dress!!
My dad L.O.V.E.S. mariachis. Seriously. Anyway...he requested a special song in Shea's honor. Here we have...
1. Papa singing along for Lucas.
2. Shea thinking, "Hmmm, music isn't bad."
3. AHHHH! THEY ARE SINGING REALLY LOUDLY!! ARE THOSE TRUMPETS OR BULLHORNS???
After dinner we headed back to the hotel. Our room was great for our little family because there was a door between the living room and bedroom. This meant Lucas got the living room fold out all to himself. He pretty much thought he was the coolest kid ever in his big bed.
On Monday morning we headed to Sea World bright and early. Boy, has that place changed since I was there last (in high school maybe?). There are roller coasters, a huge Sesame Street play park, and the place is pretty unrecognizable. My mom and I agreed that we liked the shows more back then when they were a little more personal, but we still had a great time. (Please excuse Lucas's horrible looking face in all these pictures. Turns out he had impetigo, but we didn't know that until we got home).
We saw all the shows. This was his first one, but he smiled and clapped and yelled during all of them. So cute.
When checking out the alligators, it is always safer is dad holds you so they don't get you!
This was cool. There was an enclosure for the sea lions where you could get pretty close to them and even feed them if you wanted to. We saw a mom feeding her tiny baby and Lucas enjoyed getting them to bark at him when he held up a fish.
Tired and hungry after the Shamu show.
Poor Shea was a TROOPER in her carseat all day for four days. I'm sure she was so happy to get out and get some loving from Mimi at lunch!
Family picture (minus one) with the sea lions before we headed out for the day!
Part Two coming soon to a blog near you...
