Here my two sweet boys on their way to dads and donuts at GOCP on Thursday. Lucas was SOOOO excited to take his Daddy to school; he talked about it all week. Phil is usually long gone before Lucas gets up in the morning, so it was a special treat to get to spend some extra time with him. Aren't they handsome?!?

Easter Happenings
This year was a very fun Easter for our family of three. Lucas got really into the idea of the Easter bunny and especially into finding EGGS...with CANDY in them. Haha. He got to do an egg hunt at school as well as one at home, and he definitely enjoyed himself. Since I only let him eat one piece of candy per day, he is still enjoying picking out a new egg each day after lunch for dessert. Hopefully next year, we can get across a little more information about the real importance of Easter, but, in the meantime...enjoy some cute bunny pics!
A little fuzzy, but this is Lucas at school with his best buddy, Ryder. |
Loosing one's ears is never an excuse to stop picking up eggs! |
Mommy! Open it! |
Easter basket this year. |
Found these at the Dollar Store and couldn't resist. |
Rocking the crocs and pajama look while he looks for eggs in the backyard. |

"Baby Sister" by Lucas
We have been asking Lucas lots of questions about his baby sister to try and get him ready for her imminent arrival (3 weeks...aaaa!). Most of the time his answers change from day to day, but these have been very consistent. Either he is in for some disappointment, or we are in for a surprise!
Baby sister have blue hair.
Baby sister have blue eyes.
Baby sister have orange nose.
Baby sister have pink tummy.
Baby sister eat milk, cereal, and sammich.
Baby sister sleep in Lucas's bed.
Baby sister NOT play Cars with Lucas. Only dominoes.
So, there you have it, folks. Should be a interesting first couple of months with our two littles.

Lucas Quote of the Day
Preface: We have NEVER been to or eaten at a Subway since Lucas was born as far as Phil or I can remember.
Dad: Hey Lucas...do you want to come with Daddy to get some Subway for dinner?
Lucas: EAT FRESH!
(Advertisers...your evil plot is working).

Little Man
We can't wait for our sweet baby girl to arrive, but, in the meantime, can I just tell you how much we LOVE our little man, Lucas?!? He is getting so big and is growing up WAY too fast. He talks in full sentences now, and has lots of ideas, questions, and opinions to share with everyone. He is very into singing these days...we love to hear his versions of lyrics to each and every song. He still loves all sports and is in love with the CARS movie (especially Lightening McQueen!). He enjoys going to school every Tuesday and Thursday and is getting a little picky about his food. He is DEFINITELY expressing his toddler sized independence and doesn't like to be told no. His memory is scary good, so mom and dad have to be careful what they say! We love you Lucas! (Don't grow up TOO fast!)
Family Pics
We had new family pics (and some maternity of me) made a couple of weeks ago. I love, love them all, but here are a few of my faves...

Birthday Wrap Up
Lucas turned the big Oh-2 last month, and we had lots of fun celebrating with all of his friends! We had to postpone his park party since it rained on his actually birthday, but everyone came out on a beautiful day two weeks later, and we had a BLAST! All in all, Lucas seems to think that having a birthday was pretty darned wonderful :)
He got to have his special birthday banner hanging in the house...
He had his picture made with his birthday wreath...and showed everyone who came to the house his "Number Two Weef!".
He got to blow out a big number 2 candle (on brownie and ice cream...YUM!)
Mimi and Papa got him a t-ball set. Woohoo! (P.S. He can almost hit the ball over the fence already. Yeesh!)
He got to eat chips, salsa, and lemonade at Petra for dinner.
And hang out with Mommy :)
Then, we had a party at the park!
With CUPCAKES!
All his friends came and sang to him! Happy birthday, Lucas!
