Happy Birthday to our sweet and salty Sheaffer! At two, you are talking up a storm, love to watch Mickey Mouse, are starting to actually enjoy reading books, can throw a wicked tantrum at the slightest affront, copy everything Brother does (and still won't call him Lucas...only Brother), prefer Daddy's company to Mommy's, are on the move all the time (no snuggles for you), are not a great eater unless chips are involved, and love going to Mimi and Papa's more than anywhere else. You still struggle with small seizures, but dont' seem too phased by them. You love to play blocks and cars, and use the word "blue" when you mean "other" or "another". Your blue eyes and smile are killer, and you love to meet new people and friends. You are in the 50th percentile for height and 7th for weight, so we need to work on that eating thing a bit. You are truly our sunshine, and we can't remember life before you were here to brighten our days!
We didn't have a friend party for you this year, but here are some highlights from the other celebrations:
Mimi took you to Build a Bear to make your own birthday animal. You picked "Rainbow" the Zebra (whom you refer to as "Bimbo the Moose"). You could not be happier about this little zebra with SHOES and SUNGLASSES!!!!
As we got ready for everyone to come over for your birthday dinner, you stole the glasses and helped with the cleaning.
Birthday presents!!!!
A soft, soft monogrammed blankie.
Highlight of the night: We let Lucas pick you out anything from the toy store for your gift. He chose a Chuggington train. (Daddy and I laughed because we knew he was really choosing it for himself). Little did we know...as soon as you opened that gift, you said "CHUGGINGTON" as clear as day and have been playing with it ever since! Good job Brother!
You also got your own car to drive around. Watch out world, here she comes!!!
Chocolate cake with a candle and the day in complete. Happy Birthday, Shea!!!

And, then we moved...
Y'all. I didn't take a single picture on my good camera in April. I blame the moved. We bought a house and sold ours in a matter of about a week, and life was TOTAL chaos after that! C.R.A.Z.Y. But now we are settled in and finding a new routine in a new place, and I snapped this super shot of Shea. Those eyes slay me.

A New TBall Season!
Despite his reservations about blastball last year, Lucas was very excited to sign up for tball this year. His best friend from school invited him to play on a team, and Daddy agreed to coach, so he was all in! These are some shots from his first game. It went about as well as can be expected for a bunch of four year olds. Hah! Lucas loved batting and talking to his new friend Will. He didn't love sitting in outfield not getting to do anything. I will give a full report at the end of the season when we can determine if he liked it better or not :)
For now, happy Opening Day, Red Rangers!!!
This is so fuzzy, but I love how intense his face is...ready for the game, mom!
His littlest cheerleader, following his every move!
Daddy helping with the cleats.
Baseball ready....
Or bored and ready to throw dirt?!?
First at bat.
Sizing up the competition.
High fives for Daddy/second base coach!

Clyde Warren Park
Today, I packed up the kids and my parents and we headed downtown to check out Klyde Warren Park. For those of you non-Dallasites, this is a fairly new park near downtown that is built on a freeway overpass. Very cool use of urban space. There are food trucks there every day for lunch, a kids area, and large open green spaces. I have been wanting to hear down there for a while, and we picked a beautiful day to do it!
P.S. The pulled pork grilled cheese from the grilled cheese truck was A-MAZ-ING. So. Good. You're welcome.
Lucas jumped right into the spray part of the playground:
Shea wanted to climb the tree about a million times:
Papa Paparazzi:
There was an Easter Bunny there that day handing out these balloon bracelets. Shea was so excited. She wore it all day. Even slept in it.
Lucas liked his, too, but he was more excited about the Sprite.
Not sure about this whole water thing...
Not sure about this big bunny guy...
Love my little family :)
